It started with LaVah, a college student who always returned to campus carrying something more valuable than textbooks—jars of homemade seasonings from his grandmother. Each blend she sent him back with wasn’t just seasoning; it was a reminder of home. It carried the richness of family, the warmth of tradition, and the belief that food has the power to bring people together.
From watching her create flavor with passion and precision, the seed of a vision formed in LaVah’s heart: One day, he would build a seasoning brand inspired by her legacy.
While attending Howard University, life added another ingredient to the story—love. It was there that LaVah met Krystie, a Chicago native with a true foodie spirit and a sharp eye (and palate) for quality. Where LaVah brought the legacy and the dream, Krystie brought experience, taste, and the belief that great food should not only be flavorful, but memorable.
Together, they mixed heritage with passion, tradition with innovation, and the dream became a shared mission.
What began as one grandmother’s thoughtful act—sending her grandson back to school with seasoning—evolved into a company built on heart, culture, and connection.
